EI WiSER® 3X is a wireless triaxial accelerometer that connects over Wi-Fi to a phone or tablet running WiSER VIBE®. Between them they run the whole route: configure it, collect three axes in one placement, diagnose the machine on site with spectra, orbits and bearing fault frequencies, and send the reading to the cloud before the technician leaves the point.

What the WiSER ecosystem consists of

Four parts cover collection, analysis, desktop work and remote access. A route-based program uses the first two; the others are there when the program grows.

A route from setup to report

The sections below follow one shift in order, from configuring the route to putting the result in front of whoever schedules the repair.

Setting up the route

Routes are built inside WiSER VIBE® and stored on the device, so the phone carries the route the way a dedicated collector carries its database. The app collects on route and off route, which means an unplanned measurement on a machine that is not in the route does not require a separate workflow.

Collecting a point

The sensor is placed once per point. It records three axes simultaneously plus one additional channel, and returns acceleration, velocity, displacement and acceleration envelope from that single capture — the point does not have to be measured once per output.

The button on the sensor starts and stops the recording, so it stays where it was placed between captures. Measurements run at more than 1,000,000 lines of resolution, and real-time streaming has a maximum delay of 0.2 seconds for recordings that need to run continuously.

Reading the result before leaving the machine

WiSER VIBE® returns machine condition status on the spot, while the technician is still at the point. A reading that looks wrong can be repeated immediately, with the machine still in the same operating condition — which is the only time a comparable repeat measurement is possible.

Diagnosing at the point

The full analysis toolset runs on the phone, so a suspect reading can be investigated without waiting to get back to a desk. Time waveform, FFT, circular time waveform and orbit plots are available on the captured signal, and the bearing database resolves fault frequencies for the specific bearing on that machine.

Getting the data to whoever decides

Readings upload to EI-Analytic™ from the point of measurement, so a second opinion does not require a return visit. Data also transfers to Digivibe MX® through the QR Connect tool, and individual measurements can be saved to the device or sent over WhatsApp.

Alongside those four plots, the app performs Bode analysis in real time or from a stored signal, synchronous averages, and envelope alarms viewed directly on the phone.

The faults this toolset is used to identify include mechanical looseness, eccentricity, resonance, natural frequencies, electrical noise, gear faults, belt problems and damaged shafts.


Bearing fault frequencies for more than 25,000 bearings

WiSER VIBE® carries a database of over 25,000 bearings and resolves the specific fault frequencies for each one. Those frequencies follow from the geometry of the rolling elements, so identifying them against the correct bearing is what separates a bearing defect from general noise in the spectrum.

The database is on the phone, which means the bearing can be identified at the machine rather than noted down and looked up afterwards.

Balancing in the field, from the same app

WiSER VIBE® performs single-plane balancing using influence coefficients, so a balance job does not require carrying a second instrument to the machine. The sensor that collected the route is the sensor that runs the balance.

Two-plane and more demanding balancing work is handled by Digivibe MX® on the desktop, using data from the same sensor.

WiSER VIBE® is not tied to a single sensor. The same app collects from three, so a program can mix portable route collection with permanently installed monitoring without changing software.

Alarms that learn your machines

WiSER VIBE® includes machine-learning functions that build an alarm system from your own machines rather than from generic thresholds. A fixed alarm level set once from a standard table produces false alarms on machines that always ran rough, and stays silent on machines that changed but have not yet crossed the line.

A task manager controls which notifications reach whom, so an alarm becomes an assignment rather than a line in a log.

WiSER VIBE® integrates the PHANTOM® infrared thermal camera, in real time or on scheduled collections. A hot bearing and a rising spectrum are two views of one problem, and having both in the same record removes a separate instrument, a separate file and a separate trip.

Analysis that does not wait for a docking station

Readings reach EI-Analytic™ from the point of measurement. A specialist reviewing the data can be in another building or another country, and the review happens the same day rather than after the route is docked.

Adding a technician without adding an instrument

A second person running routes needs a sensor and a phone they already carry. For an in-house team that means coverage can grow with the people available. For a contractor running routes across several client sites, it means equipping a second crew is a sensor purchase rather than a capital instrument purchase.

EI WiSER® 3X also has a universal receiver that connects it to other data collectors on the market, so the sensor can be introduced alongside equipment already in service instead of replacing everything at once.

Frequently asked questions

Can a phone and a wireless sensor replace a dedicated vibration analyzer?

Yes, for route-based collection and analysis. WiSER VIBE® runs time waveform, FFT, circular time waveform, orbit plots, Bode analysis, synchronous averages and envelope alarms, with a database of more than 25,000 bearings, and performs single-plane balancing. EI WiSER® 3X supplies three axes plus one channel at 10 kHz and over 1,000,000 lines of resolution.

What happens to our existing route history when we switch?

Existing route history can be brought across rather than abandoned, and the Erbessd team supports the setup as part of onboarding. The specifics depend on the system the data is coming from, so this is worth raising directly when you get in touch.

Which analysis tools run on the phone rather than needing a laptop?

Time waveform, FFT, circular time waveform, orbit plots, Bode analysis, synchronous averages, envelope alarms and the bearing fault frequency database all run in WiSER VIBE® on the phone. Digivibe MX® on the desktop is for deeper work and for four-channel wired measurements, not for routine route analysis.

Does a wireless accelerometer lose signal quality compared with a cabled one?

EI WiSER® 3X digitises the signal at the sensor and transmits the digital record over Wi-Fi, so the result does not depend on cable length or cable condition. It is an ultra-low-noise triaxial accelerometer with 10 kHz of bandwidth and over 1,000,000 lines of resolution.

Can EI WiSER® 3X be used with equipment we already own?

Yes. A universal receiver connects the sensor to other data collectors on the market, so it can be adopted alongside an analyzer that is still in service.

Can we balance a machine with it, or does that need a separate instrument?

Single-plane balancing using influence coefficients runs in WiSER VIBE® with the same sensor used for the route. Two-plane and more demanding balancing is handled by Digivibe MX® on the desktop.

Which machines is it suitable for?

Rotating machinery monitored by periodic route collection: motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, compressors and similar assets. The faults commonly identified include mechanical looseness, eccentricity, resonance, natural frequencies, electrical noise, gear faults, belt problems and shaft damage.
