The vibration sensor contains a triaxial accelerometer that measures vibration in three axes at the same time. The sensor also has an engraving on its front face that indicates the position of these axes. It is important to define the position of the sensor before its configuration in DigivibeMX.<\/p><p>The image below shows a P<strong>hantom Vibration Sensor<\/strong> placed on a three-phase motor. We can also see that the Z-axis is parallel to the axial axis of the motor; the Y-axis corresponds to the vertical axis, and the X-axis is orthogonal to the other two and corresponds to the horizontal axis of the motor. This means that in <strong>DigivibeMX<\/strong> we should use the following configuration: H for the X-axis, V for the Y-axis, and A for the Z-axis.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.erbessd-instruments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/vibration-phantom-axes-1-2.jpg\" \/><\/p><p>Another possible configuration would be to place the sensor in a plane transverse to the machine axis. For this configuration the values to be used should be as follows: H for the Y-axis, V for the X-axis, and A for the Z-axis.<\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.erbessd-instruments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/vibration-phantom-axes-2-2.jpg\" \/><\/p><h2>DIGIVIBE CONFIGURATION<\/h2><p>Here we will help you with the first configuration and setting of these Sensors. We will cover just the general configuration settings. For a more specific installation visit the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.erbessd-instruments.com\/docs\/phantom\/phantom-wizard\">Phantom Wizard <\/a><\/span>tutorial.<\/p><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 23\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\">On the configuration window menu, select preferences and go to the phantom tab, there check the box with the option &#8220;<strong>Show phantom menu<\/strong>&#8221; and click &#8220;<strong>ok<\/strong>&#8221; to save changes.<\/div><div class=\"column\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.erbessd-instruments.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/vibration-phantom-sensors-show-phantom-window.jpg\" \/><\/p><p>Now, the <strong>Phantom<\/strong> menu will show in the window&#8217;s menu bar. Go to the <strong>phantom<\/strong> window and select <strong>Wizard<\/strong>.<br \/>The <strong>Phantom Configuration Wizard<\/strong> screen opens in a new window. Click the Next button. Following we need to add our phantom device, in the <strong>select phantom<\/strong> window we have the next options: Option<strong><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\"> A<\/span><\/strong> allows us to manually enter a phantom code, and with option <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">B<\/span><\/strong> we can scan the phantom QR code.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 24\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\"><h3>Add Phantoms<\/h3><h4>Manually\u00a0<\/h4><p>You can add phantoms by using an 11-digit ID code, select the <strong>Manually\u00a0<\/strong>button.<br \/><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The <strong>Code window<\/strong> opens. Manually enter the 11-digit Phantom ID code from the sensor\u2019s QR label (2-digit sensor model code + 9-digit sensor serial number) into the Code text field. Then click the Ok button. The manually entered sensor will appear in the Phantoms added section. Sensors may be removed from the group using the Delete option<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\"><h4>Scanning the QR code<\/h4><p>(<strong>PC, laptop, or tablet computer camera required<\/strong>): Click the <strong>QR Code Reader<\/strong> button. The Code Bar Reader window opens.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"column\"><p>Select the desired camera from the Device dropdown list. Position the <strong>QR label<\/strong> in front of the camera \u2013 squarely and close enough to be clearly read. The <strong>Code Bar Reader<\/strong> window will automatically capture the image, momentarily turn green, and document the sensor when it has read the <strong>QR code<\/strong>. It will then close automatically, and the scanned sensor will appear in the Phantoms added section.<\/p><h3>Naming and configuration<\/h3><div class=\"column\">The <strong>Set Phantom<\/strong>\u00a0screen allows users to identify <strong>Phantoms<\/strong> using common nomenclature, for easier identification in <strong>DigivibeMX Phantom<\/strong>.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><p>We can organize ur phantom devices with the following tools:<\/p><ul><li>With the <strong>group<\/strong> box, we can select a previously group name from the list or tye a new one to create a group:<\/li><li>In the <strong>name<\/strong> box, we can select a name for our device o to simplify the phantom identification:<\/li><li>On the <strong>description<\/strong> box, we select what kind of phantom are we using:<\/li><li>At least the <strong>Interval Send data<\/strong> establishes the sensor\u2019s collection interval. The minimum value for data collection is 10 minutes, and the maximum is 1,440 minutes (1 day).<\/li><\/ul><p>Once you&#8217;re finished click <strong>next<\/strong>.<\/p><h3>Assing device<\/h3><p>In the next window, we find the <strong>Assing Channels <\/strong>screen, here we can assign the device to an analysis point in a selected machine from the tree, we can only set one point per phantom:<\/p><h3>Set the Axis and Alarms<\/h3><p>Next, we have the set <strong>phantom alarms<\/strong> window. This window has two options, the <strong>Axis configuration,<\/strong> and the <strong>alarms. <\/strong><\/p><p>In the <strong>Axis configuration, <\/strong>we select a value for each phantom axis, we can set horizontal, vertical, or axial from the displayed list.<br \/>In <strong>alarms,<\/strong> we can set a preset RMS and temperature threshold. If the alarm value is exceeded, the sensor will immediately wake and send an unscheduled data collection.<\/p><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 28\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\"><h3>Completing Phantom Configuration<\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 29\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\">Finally, the <strong>Completing Phantom Configuration<\/strong> screen provides an opportunity to add a new phantom sensor and review the sensor configurations. If corrections need to be made, the <b>previous <\/b>button can be used. If satisfied with the configuration, click <strong>Finish<\/strong> to save all changes and close the wizard.
